Purpose:

: chemical burn of the cornea of the eye are emergencies. These lesions that disrupt the function of the eyes are clear, often occur in young adults. Chemical eye injuries can lead to extensive damage to the surface of epithelial cells, anterior chamber are presentable and screen resolution stats. Today, the amniotic membrane transplantation for ocular surface reconstruction has been used.

Methods:

This study is a systematic review of the literature published in electronic data bases Google Scholar, Sid, Pubmed, Scopus, magiran between 1990 and 2013 using the keywords, Chemical Burns, AMT, Amniotic Membran, Eye Burn is written.

Results:

Many studies have been done to reduce pain in chemical burns of the eye that amniotic membrane known as an effective method to reduce pain, the brothers Rafi et al (2007) AMT in all cases be effective in reducing the pain and discomfort knew, Tamhane (2005) also burns Grade 2 and 3, to reduce pain in transplant was announced, and Arora (2005) stated that AMT in all 15 patients leads to decreased pain, But Joseph (2001), unlike other studies of its effects on chemical eye burns, and creation of corneal perforation in spite of amniotic membrane transplantation noted. Hosseiny Tehrani (2000), Talmi (1991), Subrahamanyam (1994), Hadjiiski (1996) to reduce pain when the use of amniotic membrane in burn confirmed.

Conclusion:

Studies have shown that amniotic membrane transplantation in many cases a successful method to reduce pain caused by chemical burns to the eyes
